Service Description

1-on-1 Personalized Disabled Student Services Our individual consulting and mentorship sessions focus entirely on the student’s unique strengths, learning style, and personal goals. We work directly with the student (and their support team) to build real-world advocacy skills. 1. Self-Advocacy & Self-Determination Coaching "Know Your Rights" Mentorship: One-on-one sessions that teach the student what their IEP/504 accommodations actually mean in plain language, helping them understand why they have them and how to ask for them. Accommodations Communication Training: Role-playing and scripting exercises to help the student confidently communicate their learning needs to teachers, professors, or school administrators. Self-Discovery & Strength Mapping: Helping the student identify their specific learning triggers, processing preferences, and sensory needs so they can actively participate in designing their own educational plan. 2. Adaptive Executive Functioning & Learning Support Bespoke Audio Learning Companions: Creating personalized, tailored audio summaries of assignments, schedules, or study guides—perfectly matching the student’s processing speed and auditory learning preferences. Assistive Technology (AT) Onboarding: Tailored, 1-on-1 instruction on how to effectively use text-to-speech tools, dictation software, speech-generating communication devices (AAC), or organization apps. Customized Routine & Workflow Design: Building visual schedules, low-stress time management habits, and digital workspaces that accommodate executive dysfunction, ADHD, or neurodivergent burnout. 3. Transition & Independent Living Planning Post-Secondary Transition Coaching: Preparing high school students for the massive shift to college or employment, ensuring they know how to register with a university's Disabled Students Program (DSP). Self-Care & Independence Boundaries: Developing personalized strategies for managing energy levels, preventing sensory overload, and establishing personal safety boundaries in school and community settings. How We Connect These highly personalized 1-on-1 sessions are held remotely via private video sessions, allowing students to learn from the comfort and safety of their own regulated sensory environments.
